Eric Mower and Associates

Eric Mower and Associates is an integrated marketing communications agency that offers consumer and business-to-business advertising, public relations and public affairs, brand promotion and digital/direct/relationship marketing.[1]

EMA was named a finalist for a PRWeek “Agency of the Year” Award in the small PR agency category for 2010 [2] and 2011.[3] In 2009, the agency was named runner-up in the midsize agency category by BtoB magazine in its annual Top Agencies Special Report.[4]

History

Eric Mower joined the agency in 1968 and in 1975 it became Silverman & Mower. In 1980, the firm became Eric Mower and Associates.[5]

EMA combined with Levy King & White of Buffalo, N.Y., in 1990 and Blair BBDO of Rochester, N.Y., in 1991. EMA opened its offices in Albany, N.Y.,[6] in 1996 and in Atlanta, Ga., in 1998. EMA combined with Mitchell, DeTine & Neiler of Buffalo, N.Y. in 1999; Smith Advertising Group of Syracuse, N.Y., in 2000;[7] Sage Marcom of Syracuse, N.Y. in 2001;[8] and Price McNabb of Charlotte, N.C. in 2004.[9] In 2008, EMA combined with Mark Russell Associates of Syracuse, N.Y. and Atlanta [5] and with Sawchuck Brown Associates of Albany, N.Y.[10]

In 2009, EMA was ranked by: BtoB Magazine as one of the top two midsize U.S. business-to-business agencies;[11] PROMO Magazine as #8 retail agency in the U.S. and #30 out of the top 100 promotional agencies;[12] PRWeek as #34 out of the top 156 firms in the U.S.;[13] and Adweek as #61 out of the top 100 major advertising firms in the nation.[14]

In 2011, Doug Bean was named chief operating officer.[15]
